Blue Convertible

The second single to release from October's upcoming twenty-fourth studio album TOUGH LOVE is the emotional Blue Convertible, featuring none other than the legendary electronic-pop pioneer Imogen Heap. "When I first worked with Imogen for The Underdog, it was such a surreal moment for me. Now here are on Album 24, nine years later. I remember being completely obsessed with Speak For Yourself when I was younger. One of the best records I've ever heard actually. I actually covered her amazing song Headlock for fun, it wasn't going to be used at all, but I played it for Immi and not only did she love it but wanted to add vocals! Me singing Headlock with Imogen... A dream. Blue Convertible means a lot to me, it is definitely the center piece of the album. Working with Keith Kenniff (Helios) for the album was such a fantastic pairing. We're from the same state so we had that relation already and he really knew how to translate the spirit into the music." - October

Blue Convertible is out now digitally through Butterfly Records. Physical formats will release tomorrow on Record Store Day: Black Friday, including a cover of Imogen Heap's iconic single "Headlock", produced by Kiasmos, and a dreamy club remix of said cover by AnantaSound.
