I am extremely excited to be releasing my 20th (!!!!) album to you all. It has been quite the journey since 2009, who would have thought that in only 10 years I would have produced 20 studio albums, not to mention several EP's, re-releases and compilations. Making music is a labor of love for me. It is extremely therapeutic to write, fun to record, and challenging yet redeeming to produce. And to gift you guys a new album twice a year on average is pretty cool for me. I am eternally grateful for 10 years of your love and support that has grown and grown every single day. Butterflies are one of the most powerful and devoted fan-bases and it always excites me to read all your comments on social media and The Butterfly Zoo forum. It excites me even more to give you all new music. I'm ready to present to you my 20th album << Afloat >>.
<< Afloat >> is inspired by recent personal events, including a heartbreak. I wrote about the unsure feelings, the good feelings, the disappointment, the bad, and it made me reflect upon myself, my emotions, and my choices. My insecurities would drive me crazy and make me feel not good enough. My heart led me through danger but my head guided me back to civilization and allowed me to heal. The main symbol in the album is water, it would perfectly describe how I felt as if I were floating on top of it, sinking in it, drowning in it, then floating back on top of it. The album's photo shoot was beautifully shot by Rene & Radka who captured me underwater in a striking way. Butterfly Records and I designed some gorgeous formats for you to enjoy. The Special Edition Box Set is only available online through the Butterfly Records Online store, is limited to 10,000 units and 20 random 7" vinyl labels will be hand-signed by myself.
<< Afloat >> will be released Friday, June 14th. The first single << Floating In Ecstasy >> is officially out now after I premiered the track earlier tonight in Mexico. The physical formats of << Floating In Ecstasy >> will be released Friday, May 31st through Butterfly Records. I will be doing a few album release parties on album release week, which I hope to see you at. We are also bringing back In Store Pre-Orders, which have officially commenced tonight in Mexico, and the rest of the world today, the 15th. Pre-order any format of << Afloat >> at any Butterfly Records store, from May 15th to June 13th, and receive the << Floating In Ecstasy >> CD single free. Butterfly Records will also be having an exclusive promotion on album release week which lets you pick and choose any 4 studio albums of mine on CD for only $20.
I am almost finished my North American tour but I will be back on tour next year, until then I have some cool appearances and surprises planned. Butterfly Records still has some sweet surprises coming this year for you as well. I hope you love the new single and album.

Inside, the album is presented on multiple formats, including Cassette, CD, Blu-Ray, Vinyl and USB. The aqua cassette is housed in a cardboard fold-out box and contains the full 12-track album. The CD is housed in a clear PVC slip and includes the full album plus 4 bonus tracks, making 16 tracks total. The Blu-Ray disc features not only the 12-track album but the 4 bonus tracks in 3 multi-channel audio specs for enhanced listening. The double 10" Picture Disc set is housed in clear PVC slips and contains the 12-track album. The blue USB thumb drive includes the full 12-track album, the 4 bonus tracks, and 15 instrumentals, making 31 tracks total that are converted into WAV and MP3 audio formats respectively. The 12" White Label Vinyl contains the 4 bonus tracks on heavyweight 180-gram 12" vinyl. Also featured in the Special Edition is a plastic water globe, 4 pins, 4 12" lithographs, and a 7" sized book that includes photos from making the album plus full album lyrics. The last thing included is a 7" vinyl, housed in a clear PVC slip, that features 2 tracks from 1 of 10 October albums.
