hey butterflies! here we are again. i'm very excited to announce pre-orders for my 17th studio album generate. i created this album as a reflection of who i am growing up to be, a self evaluation, a renewal of cycles. i experimented with creating unique song structures as well as utilizing different vocoders and new synths. it's different but it's still me. i was also lucky enough to collaborate with my good friends and label mates the elephants as well as one of my favorite artists ionnalee. this is the 1st of 3 albums coming this year and i hope you enjoy it.
for the release of generate, i have teamed up with my official forum 'the butterfly zoo'. all physical copies of the album will be divided into 5 sections to form the new digital alliance, generation. each section is identified by the color disk of cd and/or vinyl obtained, with no indication until purchased and revealed. an exclusive code will be found on a card which fans may enter on 'the butterfly zoo' to access each exclusive section. fans who choose to hunt and collect several or all colors may join as many as they please. once accessed, fans within each section will be able to connect with each other, generate topics, and respond to topics. throughout the course of the generate era, different opportunities will also be made available, granting members of each section unique and exclusive bonuses. some examples may include free music downloads, early information on upcoming releases, q+a sessions with myself, early music video premieres, behind-the-scenes photos and clips, and more. butterfly records will do its best to ensure those who purchase multiple copies of generate online receive different colors, as well as stocking different colors extremely random in store. because it is not 100% preventable, fans do take a risk by buying multiple copies to collect different colors. butterfly records cannot exchange or return opened copies.
generate will release on cd, vinyl, special edition, and digital album. it will also release as a 7" deluxe book format to those who purchased the xocd bundle before 2+18 2018. the cd and vinyl will be released onto 5 different color disks which will determine your group in generation: red (the heartbeats), blue (the killer whales), yellow (the electric eels), white (the dreamless), and black (the salamanders).
