Far Away From Here / Light Me Up

Greetings Butterflies! Want to start this off by saying a huge thank you to everyone who saw me perform at the VMA's and those who watched on TV. It was such an honor to perform with deadmau5, who produced "Light Me Up". The fourth set of singles from my 12th studio album Smoke + Mirrors will be "Far Away From Here" and "Light Me Up". "Far Away From Here" is such a fun pop song to me and has this immense energy that the album really needed. It also really captures my whole spirit that I always had growing up, wanting to run away and live another life. I think it's a great dance track that a lot of people can relate to. "Light Me Up" is one of my favorite tracks on the album. The lyrics expose a vulnerability of my trust issues and I knew I needed some kind of atmospheric electronic to go with it. I reached out to Joel and he was thrilled to accept, and it just went from there. We made a great track together. The joint video was directed by myself and will debut on release date, September 18th. "Far Away From Here" and "Light Me Up" will release physically and digitally September 18th.
