Wilderness

Hello friends! As promised, I will be releasing a new EP entitled "Wilderness" on August 19th. Traveling to all of these different countries made me feel very inspired by all of the beautiful nature I was exposed to. I wanted to encompass this love of nature as a new EP, a step before I give you a new album.

"Forest" is a new song I created to perform through my festival tour. This track mixes my love of nature with the identification of myself. The EP was named not only after the wilderness but also a Bat For Lashes track that I fell in love with and had to include. "This Moon" was originally included in my "Azure" mixtape and I knew I had to use it again. The lyrics are probably the best lyrics I have ever written. I revamped the track and made it special for this release. "Rain in a Drought" is a really powerful song and it samples Sufjan Stevens' "Redford (For Yia-Yia and Pappou)". I wrote this back in March and it shows my love for my fans and my love for my job and music.

Copies from www.octoberxo.com include a bonus track, "Nothing". This track uses a lot of strings and is actually an outtake from my next album. The lyrics are about being unsatisfied with life and the struggle to survive.

"Wilderness" will be released digitally everywhere. CD and vinyl copies will only be available through www.octoberxo.com.

There will only be 8,500 pressings of both CD and vinyl. 850 random CDs and 850 random vinyl copies will be hand-signed by October.

The track to be released from "Wilderness" as a single will be "Forest". I have been performing this track through all of my festival performances.

The music video, directed by Koray Birand, will be premiered and projected at the Paleo Festival Nyon on Sunday then uploaded that night.

"Forest" will be available as a 1-track digital single on August 1st. "Forest" will be released on CD and 7" vinyl only through www.octoberxo.com.

Like the "Wilderness" release, only 8,500 pressings of CD and 7" will be pressed. 850 random CDs and 850 random 7"s will be hand-signed by October.
